This Week In Innovation 3-27-26

With all of the modern stresses and illnesses that I am seeing right now, I just don’t think I have seen a bigger need for Spring Break before.  I truly hope everyone gets away, recharges, and comes back healthy and in a great state of mind.  We have a lot of work that will need to get done when we return, so be safe and relax.  Even though the mentors and adults are on Spring Break, if you need us for any reason please reach out through email or phone.  We may not respond as quickly as we normally do, but we will still get back.  You are always our priority.  Remember we are back in session Monday April 6th, and we look forward to seeing everyone then.

Testing Week April 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th - beginning at 7:30am

The week we return from Spring Break is State Testing Week.  This is a mandatory graduation requirement.  All juniors must test!!  If you are a senior and did not test as a junior you can not miss testing for any reason.

Testing starts Tuesday April 7th, and you must be here by 7:30am.  Do not be late, and you can not bring in your phone!!!  Testing will continue Wednesday April 8th and Thursday April 9th for juniors and seniors.  There is bussing available for all three days if you need it and have been a current rider.  If you are unsure of your specific schedule please contact your mentor or the front office.  The transfer bus from the high school to IA remains the same; bus 55 in slot 20. Everyone’s schedule is unique, but we should be done by 1pm on all three days.  Non-testing students are not allowed in the building during those three days.  If non-testers need work while they are home, please contact your mentor.  Freshman and Sophomores will be taking their PSAT test on Friday April 10th.  Again busing is set up for current riders, and you must be here by 7:30am.

Senior Standard Day - Friday May 8th

All seniors that expect to graduate this year must be done with every one of their standards by the end of the school day on May 8th.  If even one standard is not completed, you will have to do a 5th year.  This is our one and only deadline at IA, so do not flirt with this and miss the cut!!  You can always finish early, you can not finish late.

New Daily Academic Schedule begins on April 6th

Due to the concern and importance of all seniors finishing all of their standards by May 8th, we will be moving to mandatory academic periods from 9am until 9:30am, and 12:00pm until 12:30pm.  The Pantry, Gym, and Ocho will be closed during those time periods, and engaging activities in all academic areas will be scheduled.  There needs to be a big push for standards with the May 8th Standard Day looming.
