The week following spring break, State testing of the SAT, MSTEP, PSAT and WIN Work Readiness (formerly WorkKeys) will take place. The schedule for testing week (including Wednesday) is:
Monday, April 6th - regular school day.
Tuesday, April 7th - SAT
Wednesday, April 8th - WIN Work Readiness
Thursday, April 9th - MSTEP
Friday, April 10th - PSAT 9 & 10
All juniors will take the SAT, WIN and M-STEP along with seniors who did not complete this testing last year. Freshman and sophomores will test on the 10th. Cell phones, smart watches, etc must be turned in to the office prior to testing. State testing is a mandatory requirement for graduation at IA.
Students must arrive by 7:30 am (including the afternoon cohort) on the days they are testing. Buses will be running for those students who are currently on the bus schedule. Morning route times will be shared with the afternoon cohort students as soon as it becomes available. It is strongly encouraged that students arrange transportation home after testing if at all possible. There will be a 2:00pm transfer bus to the high school, then home, at the end of the day. There will be NO mid morning bus that would normally take the first cohort students home. Here are the approximate test end times to help prepare for individual pick up:
April 7th - 10:30, extended time 11:45 (extended times are for students with accommodations)
April 8th - 11:00, extended time 12:30
April 9th - 10:30, extended time 11:30
April 10th - 10:30, extended time 11:45
We hope that students will be well rested after spring break to take on testing week. Please mark your calendars for the dates that coincide with your student.
