With all of the snow and cold days, it has been hard to get a rhythm. However, now is the time to get focused on academics and make a push for standard completion. There is a lot going on here at IA, so no excuses not to get working on and completing projects. Here are some of the upcoming events:
American Revolution Field Trip - on Tuesday, February 10th we will have a field trip to the Hamburg Township Library to learn about the Revolution as well as the Daughters of the American Revolution. If you are interested, please see Jay to sign up.
Count Day - The second count day of the year for the State of Michigan, is Wednesday, February 11th. This is a mandatory day for all students to attend and is extremely important for funding. We will see everyone on this day.
No School Days - There will be no school on Friday, February 13th for Mid Winter Break or on Monday, February 16th for President's Day. We will see everyone back at school on the 17th.
High School Set Design - IA has been hard at work building design elements for the high school production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. We are proud of our student talent. This is one example of many that IA has been a part of throughout our community.
Racing Simulator - Caleb Stewart, an IA 9th grader, has designed and built a racing simulator console that is now being used in our Ocho (Esports room). He did an amazing job and it is being enjoyed by our student body. Thanks, Caleb! Please stop into the Ocho and try out the simulator.
Cake Pop Making/Decorating - We will be making and decorating Valentine cake pops on Thursday, February 5th in the Pantry. Don't miss out on the fun learning how to make these treats! It's a great opportunity to earn VPA standards, as well as some science and math.
