Happy Halloween to everyone!!! Not only is this weekend Halloween, but you also get an extra hour of sleep. Please remember to set your clocks back an hour, so you are at school on time Monday morning. I am really enjoying the growth and progress that I am seeing throughout the school year, and I want to continue this momentum upon our return.
Picture Retake Day
Monday is the last chance to take or retake your picture. LifeTouch will be in from 9am until 1pm. If you are unhappy with your first pic or missed the day altogether - please be here on Monday.
Senior Focus Day
Our first Senior Focus Day was incredible and productive for those who took advantage of it. The next one is Friday November 21st. It will always be the last scheduled school Friday of the month. Please remember that busing is not available on Senior Focus Days.
Thanksgiving Meal
Our traditional Thanksgiving Meal will be served by the wonderful people of Community Bible Church and Ivy Table on Monday November 24th. Please plan on coming in hungry and you are welcome to bring family members. The turkey is always spot on, but the mac and cheese is the star. It is free, and there is always enough, especially when it comes to the delicious pumpkin pies.
No Buses
On December 18th and 19th there will be no buses available for us here at IA. Please plan ahead accordingly. I know this is an inconvenience, but it is only for two days and we have been given enough planning time to make arrangements. If transportation is going to be a problem for those days, please contact your mentor.
Sextortion Presentation
FBI Officer Chris R. gave an informative presentation to our students about the topic. The dangers of this facing our young people is quite real, and he did a great job in preparing our students for any possible dangers. If you have any questions about what your children learned, please ask them and you can also contact us here in the front office.
