This Week In Innovation 9-19-25

Homecoming Dance

On Monday we will begin selling tickets to the Homecoming Dance.  The dance is Saturday, Sept. 27th from 7:00 until 9:30.  The doors close at 8:00, and there is no re-entry once you leave.  The tickets are $20.00 in advance.  You can purchase tickets at the door, however they will cost $35.00 there.  Guest tickets are not available at the door.  You will need to purchase advance tickets from Mrs. Irrer, and we will stop selling at 2:30pm on Thursday.  This purchase is cash only.  If you plan on bringing a guest who is not enrolled with Howell Public Schools, then you will need to fill out a guest pass.  Guest passes can be found in the front office.

Homecoming Parade

The Homecoming Parade will be Friday, Sept. 26th.  The parade begins at our school, so we ask that everyone be picked up by 2:00pm on Friday if you can.  The parking lot is needed to start staging for horses and floats, and you will not want to get caught up in all of the festivities once they start.  You may not be able to get out so easily once the organization of the parade begins.

Count Day

We will have mandatory in person school on Wednesday, Oct.1st.  Bussing will be provided on that day, for those who currently ride a bus, and all students must attend.  This is the first of the two state mandated days so please plan accordingly to be here at IA.

LCHD Announces Change to In-School Vision Screenings

The Livingston County Health Department (LCHD) has informed us that, due to budget and staffing constraints, it will not be offering in-school vision screenings for seventh- and ninth-grade students during the 2025–26 school year. However, LCHD will provide free office appointments. Families can schedule an appointment at https://bit.ly/LCHDAppt.
